Intro lessons: How they work

Mobile users: click the “+” above to pay & schedule. An intro lesson is a one-time, one commitment appointment where we can meet each other and see if it will be a good fit.

During the intro lesson, you have the full attention of the instructor and can ask all the questions you want. The instructor will conduct a baseline evaluation on the student’s current musical skills so that progress can be measured going forward (it’s not a pass/fail test, just a baseline measurement…it’s ok if you’re starting from zero). If there’s time and a need, the instructor may teach something small to assess student teachability and temperament.

How do you get started? Pay, schedule, done. You’ll enter your address in the signup process and get email & text reminders before your appointment.

Our availability favors the organized: We are fully booked for the next 1-5 weeks, but if you can plan ahead you can find time. Reserving a one-time intro lesson does not guarantee you that time for subsequent weeks.

Do you need anything for your first lesson? Just a guitar, and a list of the bands/music/artists you like. Asap you should buy a Shubb capo and an extra set of strings.
